Onolaja
Onolaja Onosanya graduated from the Department of Creative Arts, University of Lagos, Nigeria. A Visual Artist, He creates primarily in sculpture and experiments with mixed media to create narratives in his works. Onosanya started practicing in 2016 and has taken part in several exhibitions, voluntary art expos, and virtual shows like World Largest Painting by Numbers, Ecole de Dessin, Lagos, Nigeria (2010), Artyramaonline (2018), Impart Art Fair, Largest Pan African art fair in Lagos, October (2019), Arthouse Workshop 2.0; Plastic Imaginaries, with Kris Russo (2019), Empty room art residency a Virtual residency, Maputo (2021), and Museum of Anthropology MOA, UBC, Vancouver, November (2021) - March (2022).
Some of his works are in the collection of Stefano Piotti, Darius Living, and other private collectors in the USA, France, the UK, and Nigeria.
Onosanya works as a Visual Artist (Sculptor) and CSR Art Consultant. He is presently focused on connecting graphic designs, signs and audiovisual communications, sounds, movement, and augmented reality with his sculptures. He experiments to break out of his habitual aesthetics and make those who come across his art pay attention to things they would otherwise be inclined to ignore.
